OP ENVIRONMENT 2014-2020

The Operational Program “Environment” 2014-2020 aims to build a more competitive low-carbon economy in which resources are used in an efficient and sustainable way; protecting the environment,
reducing emissions and preventing the loss of biodiversity, and taking advantage of Europe’s leadership in developing new environmental technologies and production methods.

ELIGIBLE ACTIVITIES

Urban waste water treatment, improved drinking water quality and flood risk management.
Using innovative technologies aimed at better environmental protection and resource efficiency in the Water sector.
Construction of water supply and sewerage infrastructure in agglomerations with more than 2000 hectares. (population equivalent).
Expansion of municipal waste collection systems
Establishment of training centers for re-use
Construction of pre-treatment (sorting, separating) of municipal waste
Construction of anaerobic and / or composting plants for biodegradable waste and for green waste
Construction of pre-treatment (sorting, separating) of hazardous waste from the municipal waste stream and construction of other installations for the recovery and / or disposal of municipal waste.
Mapping and assessment of the status of species and habitats in protected areas in the Black Sea
Measures to improve the biodiversity monitoring system
Information and communication measures both for better knowledge of the network and for the development and strengthening of the business relationship – Natura 2000 in a mutually beneficial and environmentally friendly way.

Plumbing Associations, EMEPA; MoEW structures; Waste: Municipalities, legal entities (for activities subject to financial instruments), EMEPA;
Natura 2000: Structures of the MoEW, MAF and others responsible for the NATURA 2000 network; NGOs, municipalities, EMEP, scientific organizations,
Regional Information Centers (for the National Information and Communication Strategy for Natura 2000).
Environment and Climate Change Policies: Institutions / Bodies Responsible for Forming, Implementing and Implementing these Policies; legal entities
